Some say burnout is a mindless act of hooliganism usually performed by idiots to impress other idiots. And that is certainly true in the case of cheaply modified Japanese or ridiculously vulgar muscle cars. But a Ferrari F40 burnout… well, that’s a different kettle of fish.

When you do a burnout in a Ferrari F40, like this guy does in his while apparently going to dinner, you are doing it ironically. It’s like when a pretty girl fires a big gun. It is pointless and rather stupid, but damn good fun to watch!

Turns out Ferrari F40 does have enough power without its turbos kicking in to light up the rear tires. Turbo lag is one of the main characteristics of the F40, but you have to remember it still has a V8 with plenty of natural oomph. When those turbos are spooled up though, that’s when you get to experience warp speed.
