Another highly personalized version of the Porsche 918 Spyder has been delivered to its lucky owner in the United States through Porsche Tampa. Unique in more ways than one, this Riviera Blue Porsche 918 is equipped with the coveted Weissach Package and probably costs around half a million dollar more than a normal 918.
The naked carbon fiber aero parts of the Weissach Package makes a nice contrast with the paint job on this Riviera Blue Porsche 918 and also complement the gunmetal grey wheels. The kit consists of larger front spoiler and rear diffuser, fixed rear wing, canards, mirror caps, and roof all clear-coated carbon fiber.
Another advantage of the Weissach Package is that it lowers the unsprung weight of the 918, thus making better use of the car’s 887 horsepower output to make possible a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds. The top speed of all 918 models is said to be limited 350 km/h, but it hasn’t been tried verified yet.
This Riviera Blue Porsche 918 serves as an example that when it comes customization, the German car makes its rivals, LaFerrari and McLaren P1, look like cars from 1970s. Sure, they do offer some unique paint jobs, but that is about the extent of personalization you get in exchange for your $1.5 million.
