The world’s first properly wrapped Porsche 991 GT3 RS comes from the folks at Print Tech Premium Wrapping. It’s a matte racing orange wrap the owner of the car has gone for complemented with black accents and dark grey wheels.
As usual, the quality of the pictures Print Tech has sent out is pretty rubbish. But even in these terrible photos you can see that they’ve done a great job with the wrap itself. Granted, the color does not really suit the character of the Porsche 991 GT3 RS as a super serious track car. But it looks great and you can even say it is an homage to the factory orange versions of the 997 GT3 RS; a color that is apparently discontinued with the new generation and replaced by this lava orange.
It is mostly the GT3 RS’ own styling details that help the wrap and accentuate the color. There is that massive front splitter, the fender vents, flared wheel arches, side skirts, and of course the ginormous rear wing, not to mention the gunmetal grey wheels with their unique and super cool design. The RS kind of needs such large aero parts and wheels to contain the fury of the 4.0 liter, 500 PS flat-six engine that’s under the hood.
