The limited edition Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is a unique take on the British sports car by the firm’s Special Operations division. It was first introduced as a concept at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, but such was the interest in the car that Jaguar decided to built 250 units of it for sale.
This gorgeous ‘Ultra Blue’ example is one of the European Jaguar F-Type Project 7 models, caught the other day out and about somewhere in France, apparently. It is easier to mistake the Project 7 for a normal F-Type Convertible in this color than the British Racing Green with decals that we are more used to.
But there is no mistaking its credentials once you get behind the wheel of the Jaguar F-Type Project 7. The lightweight sports speedster is powered by a beefed-up version of Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine developing 575PS and 680Nm of torque, translating on the road to a 0 to 0-60mph time of 3.8-seconds (0-100km/h in 3.9-seconds) and an electronically-limited top speed of 186mph (300km/h).
Other technical highlights of the Project 7 include eight-speed Quickshift transmission, second generation Electronic Active Differential (EAD), Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes, and Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVbB). The car rides on exclusive 20-inch wheels.
