British multi millionaire and one of the few people in the world to own all three of the new hyper cars – McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Porsche 918 – Paul Bailey has been involved in an unfortunate incident in which 26 people, including a six year old girl, were badly injured.

The incident happened in Malta during the annual Paqpaqli ghall-Istrina car show. The Porsche, driven by Paul Bailey himself, was reportedly speeding down the main straight when one of the rear wheels went on the grass, sending the car into a spin. The 918 then crashed hard into the barriers behind which a group of spectators were watching the performance.

The injured which also include Paul Bailey himself were transported to hospital in multiple ambulances and helicopters. Five people are reported to be in critical condition. The supercar event was held to raise money for the L-Istrina charity.
