Type-R is one of the most famous names in the world of hot hatchbacks. But in his latest rendering endeavor, designer X-Tomi decided to enter the most exciting car Honda makes into another segment. Meet Honda Civic Type R Sedan.

This is one of those design proposal that you know a lot of time and effort was spent on. The designer hasn’t just simply added a boot to the hatchback and gone for lunch. This is actually based on the Civic Concept unveiled at NYIAS auto show earlier this year. It is sort of productionised and tarted up a little.

In true Type R fashion, the car is fitted with elaborate black accents around the bumpers and front grille, while a massive aero kit is bolted on reinforcing the sporty character of the car. The front spoiler, side skirts, fender flares, and rear wing and diffuser are also garnished with red accents.

If Honda Civic Type R Sedan ever gets produced with these looks, chances are it will receive the same 310 horsepower turbocharged four-pot as the European hatchback model. That car is one of mote the most sophisticated hot hatches out there, boasting high-end features like active adjustable damping. It’ll be interesting to see how it fares compared with the 350 horsepower Focus RS.
