So here we go, the first proper road test review of the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera S with its all-new 3.0 liter flat-six turbocharged engine. And it’s been done by a very trustworthy journalist, EVO Magazine’s Henry Catchpole who is an avid 911er himself. Here he takes out a C2S in a very special color for a spin.

So if you wanted to know what the 2016 Porsche 911 is like with its new features, this video is probably going to provide you with the answer. Besides the verdict, you also get to enjoy the looks of the new 911 and also the sound of that compact engine, which is rather interesting:

And just to recap, 2016 Porsche 911 comes with a new powertrain which develops 370 hp (272 kW) of power in the normal and 420 hp (309 kW) in the ’S’ variant. The turbocharging is designed mainly for efficiency, but power is a good byproduct. Another contributing factor is the Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission. Performance-wise, you can expect a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.2 seconds – 3.9 secs for the Carrera S with PDK and Sport Chrono Package – and a top speed of 295 km/h (308 km/h for Carrera S).
