This Is What LaFerrari Spider Looks Like… Probably

It was back in March when we were presented with conclusive evidence that Ferrari is indeed going to launch an open-top version of their LaFerrari hyper car. Now emerges from the depth of the internet a new rendering depicting what the upcoming LaFerrari Spider might look like.

And whichever you look at it, it seems to be pretty damn accurate. I mean, it’s not like LaFerrari Spider is going to be a whole new thing, is it? It’ll be a LaFerrari with a hole where the solid roof used to be. Of course what sets this rendering apart and makes it accurate in our eyes is the way the designer has handled the issue of the doors and the engine cover.

The hardtop LaFerrari, as I’m sure you know, features a pair of gullwing doors that cut into the roof. They look impressive, but impractical. That is not going to be an issue with the LaFerrari Spider because there cannot any gullwings on this one. The car will in all likelihood features a removable manual carbon fiber roof which would call for a pair of conventional doors.

Instead, the designers might seek visual drama in a new engine cover and its surroundings, as predicted by the rendering artist here. We quite like what we see here and hope the production version looks just like this.
