There aren’t that many wheel makers out there confident enough to make a tailored set of rims for a hyper car like Porsche 918 Spyder. But PUR Wheels is one of them, and they have come up with a bespoke set for a 918 Weissach which looks absolutely marvelous. 

Swapping the wheels on a car like the Porsche 918 Spyder is about a lot more than just the question of beauty. You have to take into account all sort of technical considerations like weight, load, tolerance, and of course, optimum size. It takes a lot of effort, which is why you don’t often see such cars sporting aftermarket rims.

In the case of the Porsche 918, the PUR RS23.M2 wheels, measuring 20×9.5 inch on the front and 21×12.5 inch on the rear and finished in Gloss Black Diamond, will have to content with 886 horsepower, take the car from 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds, and keep it together should the driver decides he wants to sample the top speed of 210 mph. And all the while they have to look pretty too.

We don’t about the performance characteristics of these rims, but they sure looks fantastic under the 918. They are certainly better than the stock wheels.
