Even though it has been around for a while now, the McLaren P1 GTR was never really that accessible to motoring journalists apart from a few brief appearances on television. Now though, the guys at EVO Magazine managed to secure some seat time in the mighty track machine and run it on the circuit for a new episode of their ‘Leaderboard’ time attack challenges.

The McLaren P1 GTR is better known these days as a road-legal hyper car than the race car that it really is. At any rate, it is good to see the car at its natural habitat and where it makes the most sense: the race track.
