The Polish super car maker Arrinera announced the official pricing of their new racing model which is on sale ahead of its competition debut next year. The Arrinera Hussarya GT is priced at $229,000 USD, but there is an obligatory $69K spares package that you need to buy if you want to use the car for its intended purposes, which brings the total to nearly $300K.

And we should tell you right off the bat, you should not expect much in the way of specs for your money. That is not to say Arrinera Hussarya GT is a rubbish thing. Far from it actually, with 500 horsepower, a six-speed Hewland sequential racing gearbox, a modular steel spaceframe chassis, bespoke pushrod suspension with Öhlins four-way adjustable dampers, Alcon brakes with 380mm discs and six-pot mono bloc calipers the car is actually a decent GT3 machine. But you are spending that money on the Arrinera prestige and individuality as Poland’s one and only super car firm.

What’s more, starting from next year Arrinera Hussarya GT will have the added bragging rights of being the car of choice for former BTCC star Anthony Reid who will be racing with it in 2017. The series and the venues where Reid and the GT will be competing are “yet to be decided,” but the 59-year-old Scottish racer is optimistic is going to be a hell of a lot of fun.

“The car is very quick,” he said. “I’ve tested in the dry and in the wet, most recently at Donington and Snetterton, and it went really well. Because it is mid-engined, it has the kind of handling balance I really like. It is stable and predictable and is perfect for amateur drivers who want to jump in and go quickly straight away. Porsches and Ferraris require time and experience to drive properly, but this is much more straightforward and all for a price significantly less than a GT3 car.”
