You remember we had the report on the Renault Roadshow this weekend in Dubai? Well, It was held but it hasn’t gone as planned! Muhammad Bin Sulayem, the rally legend and the very well known man in the world of motorsport, who was the star of the show driving the R28 Formula1 car, crashes it in the second run!

As you see in this video, he is racing a Ford GT in a drag race as he loses control spins and hit the wall. The Ford which apparently was driven by Romain Grosjean, manages to evade the accident but Bin Sulayem gets clipped out pretty bad. There is not much news out, but the word is that he’s safe, fortunately the impact was not that severe.

Bin Sulayem is a brilliant driver, no doubt about that. Even though he is old now, but he has been driving racing cars all his life and even his daily drivers are all supercars. So if you wanna blame something for the collision, put it on Dubai weather! which at this time of year specially, has quit a lot of sand storms. Dubai Autodrome’s track is well known for the lack of grip, caused by the sand all over the track. You can notice in the film the car cannot accelerate well cause there’s no grip.
