News coming from Germany say that Porsche Panamera Turbo has just set a new lap record round the Nurburgring Nordschleife race track. Panamera with Walter Röhrl, Porsche chief test driver and rally legend, behind the wheel managed to set a time of 7min 56 seconds, which is 3 seconds faster than the current record holder, Cadillac CTS-V, and makes it the fastest four-door saloon. Problem is, it’s not official yet!
Porsche has not commented on this story yet, but based on our knowledge of Herr Röhrl driving skills, it should have been like a walk in the park for him! Specially as he had 500hp of that Turbo engine at his disposal.
