A few days ago Subaru announced details of a new special edition Impreza WRX STi for the American market to be unveiled at the L.S. Auto Show. Well, it’s unveiled now! and the company has also revealed its official pricing. The car will be available from Spring 2010 starting from $32,995. This limited edition is actually $2000 cheaper than the regular 2010 WRX STI! Only 125 units of STI SE will be built.

Inheriting most of its features from its Japanese brother the Spec C, STI Special Edition promises improved handling through new components and comes with a few unique visual features.

The car has a firmer sportier suspension like the one on the Spec C model with 1-millimeter thicker rear stabilizer bar, stiffer rear sub-frame bushings plus upgraded springs. The front springs are 16-percent stiffer, while the rear springs have been stiffened by 29-percent.

The default color for this STI is an exclusive Aspen White, but you may also have it in Obsidian Black Pearl, WR Blue Mica and Dark Gray Metallic colors. All models will be set off by the charcoal-colored 18 x 8.5 in. 14-spoke alloy wheels from the JDM WRX STI spec C.

Other features of STI Special Edition include features halogen rather than HID headlights; a single-disc CD player / 4-speaker audio system instead of the 6-CD / 10-speaker system; manual air conditioning in place of automatic climate control, and side mirrors without integrated signals.
