Devon GTX Supercar might die due to Viper’s demise

Devon Motorworks’ engineers were proud quite proud of their product, the GTX Supercar, which was supposed to the new American legend, right until the moment that Chrysler announced that Dodge Viper will come to an end this year and it’s V10 engine will become history! You see Devon GTX is based on the Viper, and if it dies, Devon won’t have an engine and drivetrain to go along!

Of course Devon GTX is a limited edition car, apparently only 36 units per year, but supply is still a problem. And it’s not likely that they replace the Viper as the base, because in that case they will have to go through testings and prototyping all over again. Devon officials say that they are in talks with Chrysler to purchase enough parts from them to keep their project alive, but that also depend on Fiat which owns Chrysler.

And another bad news is that even if they manage to soldier on, the hardships they will have to face will certainly affect the already hefty price tag of the GTX. If you have to ask, before this crisis it was priced  at $500,000!
