Back in 2009 an unofficial document leaked on the internet suggesting that the price of the all-new Ferrari 458 Italia in the UK will be £175,364. Now though Autocar reveals that the confirmed price for this ultra-hot GT in the British market is set at £169,545 and that includes VAT and VED tax. Mind you it’s the base price, add a few options and it easily goes beyond 200 grand! A luggage set for the rear bench alone costs £2987 for crying out loud!

Even at this price I’m sure you are tempted to buy it, so here’s a quick reminder of the car’s technical specs:

Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a new 4.5 liter V8 engine mounted in the middle of the car for perfect weight distribution. This unit is mated to an F1-style seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox which changes the gear faster than you can blink! So the 570 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque is put into good use to achieve a 0-60mph time of 3.4 seconds and top speed of over 200mph. It also comes with a new version of Ferrari E-differential and Manettino switch, as well as a new instrument panel with many racing features including a system that tells you the temperature of the tires and other components while you are on the track!
