Porsche has already said that they are going to make a number of new models upon the Panamera’s platform mainly because they have spent too much money on it and need to make it up! So the news about a convertible version of their four-door GT is not surprising. What is surprising though is that it’s apparently going to be a four-door convertible.

As these leaked patents, published by AutoWeek, suggest the convertible Panamera is in the same size as the hardtop version and the interior will also offer the same space. But it would be considerably heavier because of all the structural works necessary to keep it rigid and stiff. Specially as it has no B-pillar!

At this point all we can think about is that how much uglier the Panamera will become with a long fabric roof!
