OK, if you need more details on the 918 Spyder we have to say it’s a plug-in hybrid but don’t despair because it is no ordinary hybrid! Its powertrain consists of a high-revving 3.4 liter V8 engine which can develop over 500 hp and a 218 hp electric motor. That is a combined power of 718 hp which can take you from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and reach top speed of 198 mph, and yet the car can manage average fuel consumption of 78 mpg.
