Following the FX, Infiniti is launching their second diesel-powered crossover in Europe with the new EX30d. Powered by the same piezo-injection 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, this car has 238 PS (235 bhp) and 550 Nm of torque which is even more than the current Infiniti V8 engine. But this one offers better gas mileage and lower Co2 emissions.

This model has an average fuel consumption of 33.2 mpg with Co2 emission of 224 g/km , with standard seven-speed automatic transmission. As for the performance, it does z to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 137 mph. Infiniti Ex30d is offered in three standard, GT and GT Premium trim levels, starting form £35,975.

Standard equipments include Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) 7-speed automatic transmission, active torque distribution all-wheel drive, Xenon cornering headlights, front and rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, Scratch Shield self-healing paint, electrically adjustable front seats, power-fold rear seats, cruise control and a 7-speaker audio system with 6-CD changer, MP3 decoder, Aux-In and Bluetooth for mobile connectivity.

The GT models also come with leather upholstery, 10-way power driver’s seat with memory, 8-way power front passenger seat, electrically adjustable steering column, heated front seats, rear air conditioning vent and a jacket hanger.

And the new GT Premium, available in both EX30 diesel (£41,220) and EX37 petrol (£41,080), gets some fancy high-tech stuff such as Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) with full speed range, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW), to which is added the Connectiviti+ infotainment package.

This top of the line model also features Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), and Around View Monitor (AVM), with its 360-degree bird’s eye view of the car and its surroundings, and the acclaimed Connectiviti+ satellite navigation system which has 3d graphics and comes with a 30 GB hard drive, 10GB of which can be used to store your tunes.
