The current version of Toyota Corolla is the 10th generation of this popular car. The Corolla managed to remain remarkably cold and passionless throughout the years, but despite this it is one of the, if not the, best-selling C-segment car in the world. That’s mostly due to its superb reliability and the value it delivers. Now in 2010 Toyota has revised the car to make it fresh and interesting.
Toyota has done a subtle facelift on the car, so now it comes with a new front apron with a redesigned bumper, radiator grille and lower grille. It also features new headlamps plus some changes to the license plate garnish, combination lamps, bumper and low-level reflector. These changes are quite minor and an uninterested eye would not notice them in a million years!
The updated Corolla also gets new, sportier 16” wheel cap and alloy wheel design, new power retractable door mirrors with integral turn indicators, and two new body colors including Red and Blue metallic finishes.
The improved interior of the 2010 Corolla now comes with a flat bottomed steering wheel, for whatever reason they thought of, which on higher trim levels also features a thicker, more comfortable grip cross-section. Other updates here include a new colored combination meter in white, high-brightness silver coating for the instrument panels and door handle trims. You also get wireless trunk opening function, plus two interior color scheme – dark grey and light grey.
One of the new features of the 2010 Corolla is the innovative, Gentex rear view mirror. With automatic anti-glare dipping, the mirror incorporates a 3.3 inch rear view monitor which displays an image from the rear view camera whenever reverse gear is engaged. The display incorporates static guidelines to further assist drivers with parking manoeuvres.
