Although the new gen Porsche Cayenne is still a couple of months away from officially hitting the market in America, the company released the official pricing for all models, so you have enough time thinking if it’s worth it or not! Like the old model, this one too is offered in Cayenne, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo models, but there’s also a new comer on the list, the 2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid.
The base Cayenne is powered by a 300 hp V6 engine and starts form 46,700 USD, The more powerful and more popular Cayenne S powered by a 400 hp V8 engine has an MSRP of 63,700 USD, while the magnificent 500 hp Cayenne Turbo runs for a whopping 104,800 USD.
As for the Hybrid variant which is powered by a sophisticated powertrain consisting of a 333 hp V6 petrol engine with a 47 hp electric motor, putting out a combined power of 380 hp and 580 nm of torque, it starts form 67,700 USD. So it’s nearly as powerful as the V8 while being slightly more expensive, but it returns better fuel economy. So obviously if you want a new Cayenne, the Hybrid is the one to go for, since you will also have to pay less tax for it.
