The new eco-minded version of the Porsche Panamera powered by 300 hp V6 engine is now available to order in the US of A. After selling over 4000 units of the V8 models in eight month, Porsche is very confident that the new fuel efficient model will continue this success, even though it’s priced form $74,400 for the Panamera and $78,900 for the Panamera 4.
The new 3.6-liter, 90-degree V6 engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) develops 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which enables the 2WD version to go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds (5.8 seconds for the 4WD) and reach a top speed of 160 mph (158 4WD). But the real advantage of this models is the fuel economy. The Panamera achieves 18 mpg city/27 highway while the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4 delivers 18 mpg city/26 highway.
Some of the standard equipments on both models includes an electric moonroof and power liftgate, the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with navigation, Bi-Xenon™ headlights, Bluetooth telephone connectivity, and the universal audio interface to connect an external audio source such as an iPod or a USB stick with the PCM system.
