Following the Flying Spur Arabia edition for Middle East market, Bentley is now introducing a new special editions for the North American market. Currenlty on display at 60th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, they are based on the GTC and GTC Speed and are called the 80-11 Editions. 80-11 means they will build 80 examples of these models in 2011!
On the outside, GTC and GTC Speed 80-11 feature a number of unique styling cues which set them apart from the rest of the range. The luxurious GTC 80-11 features new 20-inch, 14-spoke alloy diamond wheels, polished with unique black center caps featuring Bentley’s distinctive ‘B’ emblem. The more performance-oriented GTC Speed 80-11 offers the muscular Supersports’ 20-inch wheels, now finished with an eye-catching dark tint, and displaying sporty red brake calipers underneath.
Both cars also get Union Jack brightware badges on the front fenders. These models can be ordered with a new body color called “Midnight” which is specially made for the 80-11, while they come with Dark Grey Metallic soft top and the Mulliner fuel-filler cap as standard.
The interior of the Bentley GTC, like any other Bentley, is one of the best in the world in terms of craftsmanship and refinement. And yet they could improve it for these exclusive models. The main leather hide choice for both vehicles is Beluga, and the contrast stitching, piping and Bentley emblems are white on the GTC and Pillar Box Red on the GTC Speed. The result is a strong, dark main hide color, accented by the contrasting hand-stitching and piping.
Both cars also get Piano Black veneers, engine-turned aluminum dash with bright finish in the GTC and a sportier dark finish for the GTC Speed, race-inspired drilled alloy sport foot pedals, and of course treadplates and a badge on the console with the “80-11 Edition” signature.
Both cars are powered by the world famous W12 6.0 liter engine which churns out 552hp and 479 lb-ft of torque in the GTC and 600hp and 553lb-ft of torque in the GTC Speed. The 80-11 Edition GTCs and the 80-11 Edition GTC Speeds arrive at Bentley dealers in fall of 2010 as model-year 2011 vehicles.
