Celebrating it’s 75th anniversary, Jaguar revealed a special limited edition of their high performance XKR model at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed which is limited to 75 units. Now the British company announced they will make an American version of this car as well, and America being bigger they have assigned 175 units for them and the car is obviously called the XKR 175. It will makes it debut during Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August.
Like its English brother, the Jaguar XKR 175 benefits from improved performance, aerodynamics and luxury. The power of its supercharged 5.0 liter V8 is upped from 510 to 530 hp with 483 lb-ft of torque, while the electronically limited top speed is also raised to 174 mph.
The car also features revised aerodynamic package incorporates a new front air dam, new side sills, a new rear diffuser and a larger rear spoiler providing increased balance and a reduction in lift, plus new 20-inch Kasuga 10-spoke alloy wheels, red brake calipers and Ultimate Black exterior paint.
The interior is garnished with Warm Charcoal leather with Cranberry stitching, and Piano Black wood veneer. There’s also bespoke sill tread plates reading “XKR175 – 1 of 175”.
Pricing for this special editions is set at $104,500 for USA and £85,500 for the UK model.
