All rumors regarding that mysterious Lancia Stratos revival that’s been spotted a few times before and surprised the auto world now come to an end! Here’s the official pictures and details of the car, which is a modern recreation of the legendary Lancia Stratos of the 70s. The car has been ordered to Pininfarina by Michael Stoschek, a German entrepreneur and CEO of Borse Automobile Technik. It’s being made as a one-off, but now that the word is out, more millionaires will probably fancy this and place their orders pretty soon!
This amazing looking car has been built upon the platform of Ferrari F430 Scuderia and is also powered by its 510 hp V8. But it’s carbon fiber bodyshell which comes with an integrated rollcage weighs only 1240 lbs, which means that every hp in this car has to carry only 2.25 kilograms. That gives it astonishing power-to-weight ratio.
The car is currently under testing at Fiat facilities, by ex-formula 1 driver Tiago Monteiro. Auto Motor Sport says that Pininfarina can make up to 25 copies of this car.
Michael Stoschek is a die-hard Lancia Stratos fan, before this he has also been involved in the making of the Fenomenon Stratos in 2005 (pictures blow).
