By releasing this picture of the new Ford Ranger’s grille, the Blue Oval announced the new generation of the car is set for debut at the 2010 the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney. The new-generation compact pickup that is also developed in Australia, will become available in 180 different markets around the world.
2011 Ranger is built upon a new global compact truck platform and will have a sporty and contemporary design just like other new Ford. In fact Ford is the only manufacturer that their whole range of cars look quite good! Currently Ford is busy testing the car and they’ve already done more than a million kilometer in the toughest conditions, from the Outback to the deserts of the Middle East to the Alps in Europe.
Ford promises the new Ranger will set new standards in terms of towing and payload capacity, as well as economy with its range of new engines. It not only builds on the tremendous Ranger heritage of capability, but it also gives owners a spacious, comfortable, feature-filled interior and sophisticated driving experience that they would expect only from a car.
“Australia has played a leading role in the development of this latest global Ford product,” said Joe Hinrichs, president, Ford Asia Pacific and Africa. “Ranger is symbolic of how our great product development capability is being leveraged by the ONE Ford plan like never before.”
At 2010 Australian International Motor Show on October 15, Ford will also bring the Ford Focus RS.
