The new Lexus CT 200h Hybrid, which is the company’s first ever hatchback, is now available to order in UK. It starts at £23,485 and will hit the roads in early 2011 as the first deliveries arrive. The CT 200h is available in three equipment grades, SE-I, SE-L and SE-L Premier and despite being hatchback and hybrid is as equipped quite luxuriously.
Standard features of the base model include dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, 17-inch alloys, push button start and LED daytime running lights. Going up the range you see the addition of leather upholstery, heated front seats and front and rear parking sensors.
A loaded model comes with everything you could want including LED headlamps (first in segment), cruise control, smart entry system, electrically adjustable front seats, 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, HDD satellite navigation, Lexus Remote Touch multi-function control and rear parking monitor, plus radar-controlled Pre-Crash Safety (PCS) system and Adaptive Cruise Control.
But this being a hybrid what really matters about it is the fuel economy. The CT 200h has combined fuel economy of 68.9 mpg with CO2 emissions of just 94 g/km. But then its Lexus Hybrid Drive system only has 134 bhp which means it takes 10.3 seconds for it to hit 62 mph from standing still.
