Shelby American announced details of the 2012 Shelby GT350 limited edition as the car goes on display at Chicago autoshow. They will make 350 units of this car which for the first time since 1970 includes convertible variant as well. There’s also two new body colors red an blue!

Based on the latest Ford Mustang GT, the Shelby GT350 comes with three levels of output including a 430 HP normally aspirated, 525 HP supercharged or 624 HP supercharged version. Performance-minded drivers should get the short throw shifter manual gearbox, but if you are a bit lazy they do offer an automatic as well.

As for the body colors, you can get it in Performance White with blue LeMans stripes, Race Red with white LeMans stripes and Kona Blue with white LeMans stripes. The convertible will offer a new optional light bar; other options include a one piece drive shaft and color coordinated billet aluminum engine cap set.

2012 Shelby GT350 package pricing starts at $26,995.00 (normally aspirated) and $33,995.00 (supercharged). That’s not including the base car, but still good value given the performance and the badge you receive.
