We’ve just been telling you about Infiniti’s new concept car for 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and now they’ve officially confirmed it. The thing is, they say it’s a high performance model, but reports say it’s powered by a 1.8 liter four-pot from Mercedes!

Of course that engine is turbocharged and has good potential, but it’s not likely to shell out more than 250 hp at best. As for the design though, the teaser picture kinda confirms it’s a coupe hatchback, maybe even a fastback, while that boomerang-like part on the C-pillar hints at its similarities to the Infiniti Essence concept.

It sit below the G Line models and Infiniti believes that it will take the Japanese performance brand down a new road, to a new future. Stay tuned for more details on Infiniti’s game changing hot hatch.
