We had seen it before in spyshots, but this leaked picture of the 2012 Jaguar XF Facelift confirms that it gets an XJ-inspired face.

That’s a little odd to be honest because as we know the XJ is not the prettiest Jag ever made! It is a fabulous car, make no mistake, but design-wise it could have been a bit better. Of course for the XF it appears to be just the headlights that come from the XJ and the rest of it is just tweaked XF.

Apart from the looks, the new Jag XF also gets a brand-new 2.2 liter diesel engine with 187-hp and 332 lb-ft. of torque which manages 40+ mpg and comes with a newly developed ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox.

We will be getting a closer look at the new XF, as it’s set fro debut at the upcoming New York Motor Show.
