2011 Scion tC at Five Star Safety Rating For 2011 Scion tC

The latest Scion tC sports coupe has been awarded by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with five start safety rating.

The thorough tests of NHTSA includes the normal crash test, front, side and rear, plus the crash and rollover safety test. All Scion models meet or exceed the safety requirements. That’s a great achievement for the small coupe which comes with a long list of standard features including eight supplemental restraint system (SRS) airbags including driver and front passenger airbags, seat-mounted side airbags, driver and front-passenger knee airbag, and side curtain airbags.

The car also features many electronic aids including Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Traction Control (TRAC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Smart Stop Technology (SST), and all that is standard. It can also be specified with a tire pressure monitoring system and newly adopted active front headrests.

Besides the astonishing safety featurs, the Scion is also a very fun little coupe with a 180 horsepower engine, 6-speed transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels and a 300-watt 8-speaker audio system.
