The first batch of official pictures of the long rumored Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 have been released. The 4.0 is a tougher, tauter version of the GT3 RS. A full-on track weapon.
As the name suggests, it comes with a 4.0 liter engine instead of the standard 3.8 liter flat-six, and makes something like 500 PS. Obviously, with that much power packed under the rear hood, some serious structural work is needed to keep the car in check. The Standard GT3 is a tricky little beast to handle, let alone the GT3 Rs, and let alone the GT3 RS 4.0!
Official details of the car are yet to be released but based on the pictures you clearly notice that it gets different looks over the RS with its white livery and bespoke graphics. The car also features white wheels and red brake calipers for pure motorsport look.
The interior is even more stripped-out than the RS and don’t really get anything, not even door handles. All that mans that the 4.0 is incredibly light and therefore hugely fast thanks to the extra power. The production of this model will be extremely limited to around 500 units. And as it’s the case with Porsche RS models, they take the stuff off the car and the charge you more for it. Pricing for the RS 4.0 is said to be around 179.000 Euro.
