CT 200h at Five Star Safety Rating For Lexus CT 200h

EuroNCAP has been busy testing and rating some green cars recently. We’ve already told you about the result for Nissan LEAF and now let’s see how Lexus CT 200h hybrid did.

It achieved five stars. I know, shocker! The CT 200h is one of the most over-engineered hybrid cars you can buy today. But like its fellow hybrids and EVs, it suffers form a severe case of ugliness! The Japanese car scored 94 per cent for adult occupant protection, 84 per cent for child occupant protection, 55 per cent for pedestrian safety and 86 per cent for safety assist performance.

The car benefits from a highly rigid, impact-absorbing bodyshell and a comprehensive range of active, passive and pedestrian impact features that provide the best possible safety performance in all driving scenarios. It is the only car in its class to feature driver and front passenger airbags as standard. What’s more it can specified with optional Pre-Crash Safety (PCS) system and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

It also benefits from an upgraded Electronically Controlled Braking-Regeneration (ECB-R) system that incorporates ABS, Brake Assist (BA), Traction Control (TRC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC).
