Skoda’s treat for tuning fans at this year’s Wörthersee GTI meet is this Fabia vRS 2000 Design Concept.
Although it looks like a normal vRS that’s been driven under a lorry and has lost its roof, but Skoda says it’s “an original roadster pursuing a single goal: dynamism and the joy of sporty driving”. It is base don the Fabia RS rally car but sits four adults inside and has four proper doors and a very neat windscreen design. They are usually designed to keep the air out of the cabin, but according to Skoda this one provides a constant supply of fresh air for the passengers!
But we quite like the idea of it. It seems like a lot of fun driving this thing, of course in a more dignified color than this ghastly green.
Other Skoda models on display at the Austrian tuning event include the rally Fabia Super 2000, the sporty Fabia vRS and the all-action Fabia Monte Carlo. Besides exhibiting cars, the Škoda stand, covering an area of ??600 m2, will host a plethora of events for visitors. Motorsport fans will have the chance to take part in a rally simulation, experience a free fall, and race remote-controlled models.
