FIA Testing Jet Canopy For Formula 1 Cars – Video

It seems FIA has been bored recently and is fiddling with Formula 1 to keep busy!

First they tried imposing new rules for engines and managed to secure a deal for new V6 turbo units from 2013. And now they are working on improving F1 cars safety with new jet fighter-like canopies. It is supposed to prevent crashes like Felipe Massa’s at 2010 Hungarian Grand Prix, in which he got hit in the face with some suspension components fallen off Barrichello’s car. It’s great and will make racing safer. But it also makes it more boring than it’s already become. Motoracing is dangerous and people who are in this business realize that. Just leave it alone, will ya!
