The American company announced its plans to built a liquid natural gas-powered supercar called the Prodigy.
The project seems all too ambitious. They say the Prodigy will have Rolls Royce-rivaling luxury, Bugatti-beating performance and a staggering price of $1,000,000.
The car will be powered by a custom-built LNG 7-liter Chevy V8 with targeted horsepower figure of 1,600. Just as bold is the top speed figure, which is going to be 300 mph. They might very well be able to build such monster, but the thing is, if it was this easy making 300mph cars big manufacturers hd already made plenty of them! At the very least, it’ll be extremely hard for a small car maker like Maxximus to make a car that fast, and guarantee it won’t fall to pieces when you reach that speed.
Still, it’s something to look forward to. You know, unless it turns out to be like the Dagger GT: just a dream!

It’s ambitious indeed but that kind of vision is needed in order to propel the auto industry to new heights and discover new technologies. The point of concept cars is not just to build an amazing car; often the companies devise new technologies which find their way in regular, more affordable cars.
