Toyota announced a new, upgraded Avensis sedan will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new Avensis will feature a revised exterior styling with the design cues from Toyota’s new design language. The interior too is updated in terms of design and also the quality of used materials for a better feel. Toyota says strategic changes have been made to the powertrains and driving dynamics as well.

Also on display at the Frankfurt show are the Prius family of full hybrid models, including Prius Plug-in Hybrid and the seven-seat Prius+. Prius Plug-in Hybrid is the most technically advanced Prius yet, with CO2 emissions potentially as low as 49g/km. Prius+ will deliver sub-100g/km CO2 emissions and is the first vehicle in Europe to offer the versatility of seven seats with the benefit of a full hybrid powertrain.

The 2012 Toyota Hilux with its upgraded looks and new interior and features will also be present.
