Chevrolet confirmed production of the new generation TrailBlazer by releasing the teaser shot above.

Unlike the old Blazers though, the new one does not seem to be a massive, ungainly and scary car. It appears to be more of a soft and cuddly crossover. But it will have some decent off-road capabilities, seeing as it is to some extent based on the new Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.

Production of the new TrailBlazer will begin in Thailand in early 2012, upon a new mid-size platform developed by GM Brazil. The car’s first public appearance will be at Dubai International Motor Show, Nov. 10-14.
