Now that Maserati SUV is here and we’re hearing strong rumors about a Lamborghini SUV, Bentley has to get a move on with their Sport Utility.

And they are indeed. New details emerged on the super-lux Bentley SUV suggesting that it will have 12 Cylinders under its sleek bonnet. Bentley wants something to set them apart from the rivals, and a 12-cylinder powertrain will do the job nicely.

The obvious choice is the current W12 unit that powers the Continental range. But VW Group also has a magnificent V12 TDI that they once put into the Audi Q7 with amazing results. Bentley apparently has plans to offer a V12 TDI in a few years after launch, so it’ll probably launch with the W12.
