The new generation Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck has been unveiled in production trim in Thailand, where it’s made and will go on sale first.

After Thailand the Colorado will start its long journey across the globe and will be present in more than 60 markets around the world.

There really is a Colorado for everyone! Customers will get 26 combinations of Colorado models, powertrains, cabins, and ride heights when the range goes on sale this month. They include single-, extended- and crew-cab bodies in high- and low-stance configurations, wide- and narrow-body options, as well as two- and four-wheel-drive configurations.

There’s also two all-new Duramax turbo-diesel engines to choose from: a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel featuring variable-geometry turbocharger with 180 horsepower (132 kW) and 346 lb.-ft. of torque (470 Nm) and a 2.5-liter engine rated at 150 horsepower (110 kW) and 258 lb.-ft. of torque (350 Nm).

The Colorado has a very American name and a very nice American design, but it won’t go on sale in America. It is designed to for the rest of the world to familiarize with the American trucking culture!
