Today at L.A.. Autoshow Ford took the wraps off the all-new 2013 Escape crossover, known as the Ford Kuga in Europe.
The new-look Escape is going to set new standards in this segment, as it comes with eleven features no other crossover offers. It is also packed with new technology features including brilliant new hands-free power liftgate that allows quick and easy access to cargo with the kick of a foot, and Ford’s Intelligent 4WD system.
Other features worth mentioning include SYNC MyFord Touch system, Automatic Parallel parking system, Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert, and Curve Control automatically slow the vehicle when it’s cornering too fast, as well as Torque Vectoring Control.
As Ford said, the 2013 Escape is the first car in this class to offer all these technologies. Mind you, almost all of them are optional extras.
In America Ford Escape will be offered with 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine or 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine, as well as 2.5 liter four-cylinder unit. The European version which will be revealed in Geneva next year will get different options.
In terms of practicality and convenience, the Escape offers rear seats that have been designed to fold flat easily. Escape also features an available two-position load floor, which can be configured to allow the customer to choose among maximum luggage volume or flat load floor.
The new Ford Escape is a global product and will go on sale all over the world from America, to Europe and China.
