Gumpert, the German supercar maker and the people behind Apollo – no, not the spaceship, announced a new model to be revealed at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
It could be an upgraded Apollo, or an all-new model to replace it. The latter is unlikely because Gumpert revealed the Tornante earlier this year as the company’s new flagship. And to be honest they don’t seem to be capable of running a lineup of three high-end supercars.
The teaser image they’ve released is practically useless, but one would say that is the silhouette of an Apollo. Whatever the new car is, it’s going to be brutally fast, promises Gumpert.
Next Geneva Motor Show will be held in March 2012. There probably will be more teasers and previews until then.
For those of you who haven’t got a clue on what an Apollo is in the first place, it is an extremely geeky supercar which is also widely known as one of the ugliest. It is fast though, properly, fearsomely fast.
