Continuing our “Concepts at Tokyo Motor Show” series, this time we feature Honda and take a look at what they have to offer at this year’s show.
The best of the lot at Honda’s booth will be this EV sportscar you see above. It is a next-generation compact EV sports model which promises great driving fun while achieving excellent environmental performance. That’s a hard trick to pull, as Honda showed with the CR-Z. They wanted to make an efficient sports coupe, but made something that’s not sporty at all, and is not that green either.
This is Honda’s electric urban commuter. Obviously they made it because it’s fashionable these days and every company has one of these. It is called the Micro Commuter Concept, and it’s main feature is a HONDA MOTOR COMPO two-wheel EV. It’s creepy and ugly and we don’t like it at all.
This one’s more promising. The AC-X concept is Honda’s idea of a next generation plug-in hybrid vehicle offering a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience in urban and long-distance motoring. This car apparently has an automatic drive mode, but it’s not like an auto pilot. Honda days it’s for relaxed driving! The AC-X certainly looks cool.
Honda will also show some new motorcycles and urban mobility solutions, which frankly are not really interesting.
