Subaru released today the very first picture of the new BRZ STI sports car, in concept form, confirming its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month.

Subaru BRZ, for those who don’t know, is another version of Toyota FT-86. It is basically the same car, but it looks a bit different in places such as bumpers and lights and stuff, and it’s also a bit more powerful.

The FT-86 gets 200 bhp at launch, the BRZ a bit more than that but below 300.

Subaru is adamant this is the concept version of the BRZ STI, o they leave some room for changes if necessary until the L.A. Autoshow. The BRZ will have the lowest center of gravity among produciton cars when it arrives, thanks to its boxer engine and rear-drive platform.

Subaru says that results in “Pure Handling Delight”.
