The Sport version of the lovely Suzuki Swift will go on sale in the UK from January 2012, starting at £13,500.
Despite it’s name, Suzuki Swift Sport is not a hot hatch. But then it doesn’t have the price tag of a hot hatch either. Watch you get is an honest to God 1.6-ltre 136hp VVT engine, delivering 100kW (136hp) and 160 Nm of torque, and 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds with max speed of 121mph.
It also gives plenty of miles to the gallon, 44.1 mpg to be precise, with CO2 emissions of 147g/km.
The car is distinguished visually with a sporty body kit, High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with a metallic-grey coating as well as new design rear combination lamps. It even gets revised, sporty suspension and steering for an overall better driving experience.
Specification includes auto air conditioning, fog lamps, push button start, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, HID Projector headlamps with headlamp wash and rear privacy glass. In terms of safety you get seven airbags (including curtain and a driver’s knee airbag), shock-absorbing materials in pillars and ESP as standard.
