Scion FR-S, or Toyota 86 – built on a new platform jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru, is a very simple sports car. And exactly because of that the Japanese believe it is so brilliant. The FR-S has rear-wheel-drive, a simple manual or automatic in the middle, and a four-cylinder boxer engine at front. It has a low center of gravity which, in theory, should give it amazing handling.
