Caterham F1 released the first picture of their 2012 Formula 1 car as a sort of teaser, ahead of the car’s track debut on February 7th.
The picture they released on twitter shows the car from the side and is not that revealing. But a much clearer picture – a scan from Racing Magazine – has hit the web, revealing the car’s radical nose. Now, maybe it’s the new rules, but that front-end is very ugly. It looks kinda like old F1 cars, only worse.
Is it going to be the standard look of all 2012 F1 cars? Hopefully not.
Looks don’t matter in Formula 1 though, it’s the performance that must be good. Caterham is very confident their car is a serious player, and they have set themselves ambitious goals for 2012 season.
Caterham F1’s first shakedown is scheduled for this Friday.
