Infiniti’s Geneva-bound range-extended mid-engined electric sports car is possibly the most important car the Japanese brand has ever made. That’s why Infiniti is righteous in teasing us to death with it.
This new batch of teasers, which includes a video as well, reveals more facts on Infiniti’s first mid-engied car. The range-extended hybrid has a 1.2-litre internal combustion engine that acts as a generator to charge the batteries, which then power the electric motor that turns the wheels.
This way you can have a powerful electric motor and therefore good performance without having to worry about the range, because you got your on board generator. What’s more, you get a few miles of zero emission driving while running on electricity alone.
