Following the five-door VW up! now comes the Skoda version, the five-door Citigo, set for debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The Czech car is not a full carbon copy of the German car, of course, as it gets its own Skoda identity with a distinctive front-end. The cars also differ in terms of features and equipments.
Just the up! though, the Citigo is a super compact, but clever car. It comes with some funny little features that are actually quite useful, such as a photo and document holder, a bag hook on the glove compartment, a range of net holders and the new Citigo’s many storage options.
It also gets the same engine as the up!, a three-cylinder petrol engine with one litre of displacement in two versions with 44 kW/60 hp or 55 kW/75 hp. In its most efficient Green tec variant, the new Citigo achieves a mileage of 4.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions in the new SKODA model amount to just 96 g CO2/km.
Soon the Spanish division of Volkswagen, SEAT will also reveal their five-door up! known as the SEAT Mii.
