Toyota is launching special edition versions of its Aygo city car in UK.

They are called the Fire and Ice, but despite the fancy name there’s not much to get excited about. The Aygo is powered by 1.0-litre VVT-I petrol revised to make less CO2, and to hell with power! Whatever transmission you choose, it will do above 60mpg on the combined cycle.

As for the features, the Aygo fire gets 14-inch alloys, front foglights and LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, leather steering wheel and gear knob trim and a rev counter. There is an option for the Burnt Orange paint finish, but that doesn’t make the car look more impressive.

The Aygo Ice is all about convenience, and features air conditioning, Alcantara and leather trim, a more powerful four-speaker sound system that is DAB-ready, Bluetooth and a USB port for connecting digital music players.
